Title: Executive Director

Job Overview:

personify that energy. We have done lots of planning and building and now it’s time to

balance that is the great task and opportunity for a dedicated, enthusiastic community builder
with whom we can entrust our downtown community.
Dedication, loyalty and hard work is why our Main Street has thrived. Now, we’re looking for
someone to inject their creative energy, vision and leadership to take us to new heights.
Alongside our volunteer Board of Directors, and as Executive Director, you’ll create
programming that invigorates business owners, excites locals, and draws in visitors.
Dundas has limitless potential and we can’t wait to hear what ideas you have for the vibrancy of
our business community.

Salary Range:
● $60,000 – $65,000 (Compensation is commensurate with experience.)

Responsibilities and Duties:
● Collaborate with the Board of Directors on a path to implement the BIA’s Action Plan.
● Engage diverse community organizations as well as strengthen community partnerships.
● Plan and oversee delivery of BIA programming, communications, events, etc.
● Design and facilitate a BIA Marketing Plan and all the logistics of such
● Be the “face” of our BIA in the media and at events.
● Manage the BIA office by overseeing day-to-day operations
● Oversee of the BIA Audit and Financials
● Guide the BIA governance structure.
● Deliver communications to our members, partners, stakeholders, council, and the media
in a clear and consistent manner.

Requirements and Qualifications:
● Post-secondary education or relevant certification.
● Background in Community Development/Economic Development preferred.
● Prior knowledge of the BIA model is preferred.
● Previous event planning experience is an asset
● Familiarity with social media management
● Marketing experience is preferred
● Experience with managing and oversight of BIA Financials is necessary.
