On Monday July 28, we recognize the creation of the Charter of The Town Of Dundas in 1847… On Saturday, July 26, we will celebrate Dundas’ 178th birthday. Join us for a couple of free guided historical and architectural walks throughout Downtown Dundas – hosted by local historians and humourists!

Tour # 1 – KING STREET LANDMARKS

Where did Edwardian Dundasians hold their dances? What building was barely saved from the great 1881 fire? What did they find when they dug up the foundation for Starbucks? King Street is lined with historic buildings that have become Dundas landmarks, and each one carries with it an array of tales from the Town’s past. Join Austin Strutt, Exhibitions Curator at the Dundas Museum & Archives, for a walking tour highlighting the stories of some of the most iconic, and lesser known, buildings on the ‘Main Drag’.
