Open Streets creates an atmospher with fun activities focusing on community engagement & Community Spirit, rather than vendor advertisement, encouraging social engagement, physical activity, environmental sustainability, and social inclusion. The event also benefits local businesses, who draw in crowds based on live participation.

Bike Rodeo 12 – 6pm | Street in front of Free Wheel Cycle | Kids can bring their helmets and bicycles to test their bike riding and safety knowledge. Thanks to Freewheel Cycle and New Hope Community Bikes. Don’t have a bike? There will be some helmets and bikes for kids 8-12 to use. Helmets are mandatory! | |
Lego Zone 11am -8pm | In front of Jax Sweet Shoppe | Creative Club presents a 20′ x 20′ installation filled with thousands of LEGO® bricks and Giant EVERBLOCKS. Kids can get hands-on with building. There is also opportunities for photos with a large lego throne! It’s an experience the whole family will love and enjoy. | |

DVSA 60th Anniversary 6 – 8pm | Dundas Valley School of Arts | Join us to reconnect with friends and celebrate our school and art community at this 60’s themed event. Feel free to come dressed in your favourite 1960’s attire – we will be! There will be live art making and performances, magic, food, drink and more surprises. Please note: this event is intended for ages 19+. |

11:00 am – 1:00 pm | Mr. Ben Children’s Sing-along | By Carnegie Gallery, 10 King Street W. | A well-known fixture of the Hamilton kids’ music scene, Mr. Ben sings songs ranging from traditional folk to original pop and jazz kids’ songs, to classical themes set with lyrics, to books set to music. With his guitar in hand and a childlike enthusiasm & energy, Mr. Ben’s signature blend of folk & pop grabs audiences’ attention, draws them in, and has them singing and moving along regardless of age. His shows are equal parts warm and inviting, fun and exciting, and he is just as comfortable playing to a crowd from a stage as he is unplugging and interacting musically with his young audience. |

Shake Street has been performing in Southern Ontario since 2014 with members hailing from Dundas, Ancaster, and Burlington. |

Food and Refreshment Promotions
Addtional to our standard amazing food options downtown you can find the following:
- From 10am – 2pm, Jax Sweet Shoppe will be outside of Eccles Auto Service selling ice cream, brownies, cookies, hot dogs, and hamburgers.
- Red Door will have their wood fired pizza oven on the new Barrel Heart Brewing Patio at the historic post office building!
- Burnt Tounge will be selling hot dogs, burgers and fries outside their location
- Cumbraes will be selling sausages and fries outside of their location
- The Collins Brewhouse will have popcorn, cotton candy, snow cones and drinks outside their business
